PTAC Member Spotlight......Jim Byse
Please meet PTAC member Jim Byse. Having been a member since 2016 Jim admits to being completely enamored of our club. We couldn’t agree more! Born in Pennsylvania and raised there and other places on the East Coast Jim couldn’t wait to get out on his own. He attended college in Indiana but moved here for graduate school which he completed at WSU. He has been living in our beautiful state ever since. For a time work took him out in the ocean to a place due west of here; south of Cape Flattery to Ozette. There he took part in an archeology project uncovering a Makah house covered in a mud slide 400 to 500 years ago. The 3 year long project boasted many artifacts, all of which can be seen at the museum in Neah Bay. Jim is one of the lucky few who retired at a young age. For many hard years he owned and operated his own security company, a company protecting rural land owners’ properties and forested lands. He did so well that he was able to sell the company and now fills his days traveling, boating, bicycling and of course coming to the gym!! He is a regular and much loved attendee at many Body Pump classes each and every week he is not traveling. (In his own words, “I now get to do stuff just for me!!”) How cool it that? Some things Jim loves about being a member at PTAC are the unique set up of special rooms for specific things, the assortment of classes (including the fact that he can enjoy Les Mills classes anywhere in the world), the awesome and supportive staff and of course, his fellow members!
